Bear Me Away

You’ve promised that some day
You’ll bear me away;
Your Word You have given,
I believe what You say.

Though storm clouds loom o’er me
As I trod here today,
I believe in Your promise
To bear me away.

Bear me away, Lord,
Bear me away;
Send Your angels from Heaven
And bear me away.

You’ve promised that some day
You’ll bear me away;
Your Son’s blood was given,
For my debts He paid.

Though now You seem far off,
I’ll be with You one day;
I trust in Your promise
To bear me away.

Bear me away, Lord,
Bear me away;
I’m trusting in You, Lord,
To bear me away.

And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again and receive
you to Myself; that where I am, there
you may be also. (Matthew 14:3)

Things

There are things that make me worry,
And things that make me sad;
There are things that make me sorry,
And things that make me mad.

There are things that steal my joy,
And things that steal my time;
There are things that sap my strength,
And things that cloud my mind.

But they’re all just temporary,
These things that hinder and bind;
For one day He’ll call me home
And I’ll leave them all behind.

For we brought nothing into this world,
And it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Let’s Not Tell Them

Let’s not tell them about Jesus,
Let’s not share our faith with them;
After all, we’re on our way to Heaven
To spend eternity with Him.

Why bother trying to tell them?
Let them find out on their own;
For we know that one day we’ll be
Above in our heavenly home.

Though we never actually say this,
Isn’t that what our inaction implies?
Let’s tell the world about Jesus
So they in their sin won’t die.

You are the light of the world. A city that
is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do
they light a lamp and put it under a basket,
but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all
who are in the house. (Matthew 5:1)
