Bear Me Away

You’ve promised that some day
You’ll bear me away;
Your Word You have given,
I believe what You say.

Though storm clouds loom o’er me
As I trod here today,
I believe in Your promise
To bear me away.

Bear me away, Lord,
Bear me away;
Send Your angels from Heaven
And bear me away.

You’ve promised that some day
You’ll bear me away;
Your Son’s blood was given,
For my debts He paid.

Though now You seem far off,
I’ll be with You one day;
I trust in Your promise
To bear me away.

Bear me away, Lord,
Bear me away;
I’m trusting in You, Lord,
To bear me away.

And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again and receive
you to Myself; that where I am, there
you may be also. (Matthew 14:3)

Keep Running

Keep running and don’t look back,
Look farther down the road;
Cast your cares on Jesus,
He’ll help you bear your load.

Fix you eyes on Jesus,
Look upon His lovely face;
Someday you’ll see heaven,
Until then, stay in the race!

Keep looking straight ahead,
Don’t look to the left or right;
Don’t wander off His pathway,
Keep heading toward His light.

Keep running and don’t look back
Until the race is won;
Some day you’ll cross the finish line
And hear Him say, “Well done!”

Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded
by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight and the sin which so easily
ensnares us, and let us run with endurance
the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)
