She Looks Up To Me

She looks up to me, Lord,
So I look up to You;
This precious child is watching
All I say and do.

May all my words and deeds
To Your Holy Word be true;
May all she sees in me
Be a clear reflection of You.

She means the world to me,
And I know You love her too;
She looks up to me, Lord,
So I look up to You.

But if anyone causes one of these
little ones who believe in me to sin,
it would be better for him to have a
large millstone hung around his neck
and to be drowned in the depths of
the sea. (Matthew 18:6)

This Busy Day

The day had been frantic,
I looked back with a sigh;
One thing, then another,
And the day had flown by.

Finally, at day’s end
We knelt, she and I;
Her tiny hands folded
As she prayed by my side.

“Bless mommy and daddy,
And all of my friends,
And grandma and grandpa,
Please watch over them.”

“And thanks for our food,
And the clothes that we wear,
And a warm bed to sleep in,
And my soft teddy bear.”

Then tears filled my eyes
As she quietly prayed,
“Dear Jesus, we thank you
For this busy day.”

I Got To Serve The Master!

He ran throughout the streets
To tell where he had been;
“I got to serve the Master!”
He shouted to his friends.

“Today up on the mountain
I gave up my fish and bread;
And Jesus performed a miracle —
Five thousand people were fed!”

He grinned from ear to ear,
And danced around with joy;
“I got to serve the Master!”
Sang the jubilant little boy.

For even the Son of Man did not come
to be served, but to serve, and to give
His life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45)
